Dental Hygienist Cover Letter Examples Is A Dental Hygienist Allowed To Drill On Teeth?

Is a dental hygienist allowed to drill on teeth? - dental hygienist cover letter examples

I went to the dentist in 2 weeks for a fill. The dentist drills the cavity and the dental hygienist doctor told her she could not fill. He left the room, then said he thought he looked a little more "Staind" in the teeth. So he took the drill and started drilling more. I was so wrong the last two weeks. A few days ago I came back and told me that my "bite would fit" for release, because of course, that sufficient detail. I "m still in pain and told me yesterday that he would need a root canal.

I asked another dental hygienist in a dental office and told me they were not allowed to drill if it. Or at least should not exist. He said he would probably be a complaint against the dentist, by the time I missed at work and when I cover in different dentist next week (I keep the other), with notes of things. Please respond to someone who is qualified to do so. Thank you,

I am a dentist.

I know some states allow hygienists to administer local anesthesia (what) in my opinion a very bad idea, and some other advanced features. I know that some states required the participants. With a drill, however, is the exclusive right of the physician. To my knowledge, nobody has to make the power of U.S. state.

Note that it is quite possible, yes, it is likely that the doctor of the actions of the officer was not aware of. As a doctor myself, I would apeshit * t, as if he found a second guess my clinical officer and went to my workplace to switch to. It would be out of his *** before he could say "tooth." The vast majority of doctors are in the same way.

There are two possibilities for the administration:

1. You can simply say, let your State Board of Health Professions and investigate. or

2. You can deal directly with the doctor himself.

If you choose the second option, it is likely that the lifeeasier for themselves (and the doctor, of course), and then have the option of reporting to competent authorities for investigation, if there is demand.

I chose option # 2, and I'm not saying this because I see a doctor.

generally against the law for a hygenist for drilling "deeper" into something, but packing filler is not against the law. What happened was probably a high degree of filling can casue damage and bruising of the nerve, what Dr. 's not explain the dental work preform ... Good luck with the new kind

Oh, my God, no! It is so awful, I think the reason is. Sue, really.

I agree with Ilhenley. Report to the dentist anyway. He is guilty of misconduct, ethics and professional responsibility.

Absolutely not! The work of a dental hygienist clean your teeth and teach patients good oral hygiene. That's it! I work for a dentist, and that is illegal. I would like to dental dentist for the state in which we live, the only person who drills teeth report is the dentist.

I do not know the laws on the expansion of functions in all 50 states, but I've never heard perform a bill authorizing aid to irreversible processes, including drilling. In my opinion this should be illegal.

Hygienists is absolutely not allowed to dig. No matter how often they saw. I am amazed at the fact that it was full. Get a lawyer. At least they have another dentist root canal treatment and lost work.

HDR can fill the teeth if they have completed a course of expansion functions. Also be performed under local anesthesia. You can not use a drill with high speed. You should contact the Board of Dentistry in your state to find out their rules.

Depends on the state. If the state does not comply, and a dentist will take you here, then you are not receiving good advice. Sorry if that offends someone else has responded, but I was on the field of dentistry for 10 years and I can not tell you how bad dental tips that I see people giving an average every day.

We must ask ourselves whether this really is a hygienist, but really a magician. The never hygientist in my office helps with fillings. But if you like in some states, they can actually administer injections, as I said before, do not give enough information to get a correct answer.

You should see a lawyer for malpractice, because each state has different and they have the best information for you. You probably do not want advice on Internet law, everyone has their own opinion.

You pay for the work, not his dental hygienist. Report to the office to ADA.org
